A sweet romance about a princess and an ex navy seal turned cowboy I didn't understand why the author considered it a fairy tale The story is a relatively simple romance but the emotions are well written and the characters very likable

I enjoyed this novella about a modern day princess The author did a great job portraying her desperation to escape her fear of danger and trauma from the recent violence Gideon is a pretty tough nut to crack but when he falls he falls hard Allie's pleasure in cooking for the cowboys and working in the kitchen endears her to all the men working on the ranch and soon they can't imagine life without her The fact that her stay is just temporary creates a strong tension while the suspense from the danger she's in keeps the story uickly moving forward Looking forward to reading in the seriesThank you to the author for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review

I'm a sucker for princess romances I don't know why that is Take a princess in hiding and throw her in with a rough and tough cowboy ex navy seal to boot and man it's swoon worthy There is a bit of suspense in this one and it was just fun I read through it uickly and was sad to get to the end There are books in this series and I'm hoping to read them Soon ish Rough and tough cowboy has a brooding brother

SweetGreat story I loved it There were a few cliches and plot holes And I wished there was progression of the love story But the writing is great and it's a sweet love story

Lately I have begun listening to the Cowboy Fairytales series by Lacy Williams I have listened to the first two books in the series so far and I highly recommend them The narration is very good I enjoy the narrator’s voice and find that she truly pulls me into the storyAnd the storywell these books are combining a couple of my favorite things to read aboutfairytale princesses and cowboys It seems like a funny mix but the author does a great job of creating seemingly realistic scenarios and characters which make the events that occur in the books totally believable to me It has just been such a joy to listen to these storiesOnce Upon a Cowboy is the first book of the series and the two main characters Alessandra and Gideon were so easy to connect with Their backstories were interesting and the attraction that began to bloom between them was perfect I love fairytale princess novels for the happy feelings they leave me with and Once Upon a Cowboy did just thatI received a complimentary copy of this book All thoughts and opinions are my ownYou can read this review on my blog at

short and sweetReader thoughts Just what I needed and it was a good price The romance was clean and sweet but they seemed attracted to each other too fast I liked the little hints of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs retellingI originally thought Allie was a Princess from another world who finds herself in Texas like a midwest version of Enchanted The first page intrigued me because it mentioned Princess and New York with Paparazzi I soon learned this is closer to a Princess Diaries tale a princess from an unknown European nation GlovairdThe writing and dialogue felt natural There were just the right number of characters I'm interested to see what happens with Princess MiaWriter thoughts This is on the Marketer side of writing but I picked this book up for free I don't know if it's permanently that way or if it is on sale I wanted a sample of the book but apparently doesn't do free samples when the book is free go figure I saw this because I was checking out some of Jenni James's booksI don't normally go for romances I rarely read free books the same day I buy them In fact I accidentally clicked on this one when I was trying to get to another book Oops Was I hooked in the first few lines? Sort of Then I realized it had only been a few minutes and I was already 26% into the book It was barely after 9pm So I finished itSo what worked? A low price PLUS a short book to start a series might be a good idea I really ought to follow my own advice ha I'm not enough of a romance fan to pick up any of the rest of the books but other readers probably will

I could not really see the fairytale aspect to be honest I had not guessed it was Snow White But that does not matter It was a contemporary romance after allThis was a short audibook and I did enjoy that When it comes to audio short is good and since it takes me ages to listen to it it never feels too rushed Even if they fell in love really fast but since it took me 3 weeks then they fell in love pretty slow ;It's the story about a princess who is on the run after someone tried to kill her Alessandra was pretty adaptable She was sweet she baked I could not find any faults with herShe ends up on Gideon's farm and hey he is a really good guy too He wants to protect her They are just good people the both of them And there is no real drama between them either They fall in love and they will live happily ever afterThough there is drama the whole who is trying to kill her and her family And that is not resolved since there are books outConclusionA sweet romance

I really enjoyed this contemporary western take on Snow White I love retellings and this one was done very well All the classic elements were there including some fun small details I fell in love with the characters immediately and the romance was definitely swoon worthy I loved the way it wrapped up The rest of the story wasn't completely wrapped up though I look forward to reading the rest of the series
